The purpose of this project was to examine the drinking water quality of the selected 251 drinking water treatment plants and 29 small drinking water treatment systems in Taiwan. The regulated analytes included metals, cyanide, total trihalomethanes (TTHMs), bromate and haloacetic acids (HAA5) , volatile organics, pesticides and dioxins, which accounted for a total of 44 analytes.The water examination of drinking water treatment systems shows that the passing rate is 99.20%(249/251). The water examination of small drinking water treatment systems shows that the passing rate is 100%(29/29).The results indicated that aluminum and Total Trihalomethanes (TTHMs) exceeded the drinking water quality regulations in only one drinking water treatment plant.
